WE WANT TO SUPPORT YOU IN MAKING YOUR COMMUNITY SAFER. LET US KNOW YOUR AREA OF NEED!
Colton James harman memorial
Colton James Harman, 24, of Columbia, completed his earthly race while participating in the Greenville Half Marathon on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on November 19, 2001, he was the beloved son of Gary Duane Harman and Nikki Lee Lukas Harman.
In honor of Colton’s life, the Colton James Memorial Fund has been established through HRTHUDL.
This fund exists to carry forward a mission that saves lives — equipping communities with life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and providing CPR training so that more people are prepared to respond in a cardiac emergency.
Every dollar given in Colton’s memory will help place AEDs in communities and train individuals to act when seconds matter most. Through these efforts, Colton’s legacy will live on by helping give others the chance to survive sudden cardiac arrest.
We are deeply grateful to Colton’s family for allowing us to honor his life in this way, and for turning unimaginable loss into a mission that will protect and serve others.
Simpsonville sets a powerful example. The survival rate for a cardiac arrest is 4x higher than the national average, thanks to Caleb Carter, Simpsonville FD, and prepared bystanders. This partnership is another example of Simpsonville leading the way!
Thank you, City of Simpsonville, for all you do to keep residents and visitors safe.
Legislation would require schools to develop a cardiac emergency response plan and T-CPR training for South Carolina 911 dispatchers.
